The challenges facing the UK Government in the preparations to leave the EU are unparalleled. Whilst we hear about it in the news every day, the enormous amount of work required to get us there is quite a challenge.   

Due to the associated unprecedented level of change required, this Central Government Department has requested that Reed Professional Services (RPS) aid with raising the level of Project and Programme Management expertise within the organisation, working particularly on the EU Exit programmes. RPS have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (Technical Project) to join our team of experts in ensuring the success of the projects.    

Who will you be working for?    

RPS provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer’s projects go from concept to completion. Our project delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Media, Banking and Central Government.   

What will you be doing?  

 As a Technical Project Manager under RPS’s Team, the role will be focused on working under the senior Export Project Manager delivering Export Projects across Biosecurity and the other departments while taking ownership of the delivery of medium/small projects under the programme.  

Skills required for this role are below, please have the following with regards to:     

Experience: Demonstrable success in similar roles working on Digital project delivery focus within Central Government environment.  

Skills: Able to produce concise status reports, plans and RAID logs while Being able to demonstrate a substantial amount of experience working as a Project Manager will be ideal.    

Characteristics: There’s frequent internal and external stakeholder management involved, so you should be a compelling and considered influencer, with a consultative and approachable demeanour that will enable your team to deliver to the best of its ability.
