Research Manager

Research Manager  is required to join The Home Office  in London  for a 6 month contract that will possibly extend.

Inside IR35. This engagement has been assessed by the public body as Inside IR35 legislation.

Inside IR35 £300  Umbrella, £225  PAYE per day

The Home Office are currently looking to recruit a contractor to deliver migration reports to meet our contractual agreement with the EU commission. These posts are 95% funded by the EU Commission. The appointed candidate will lead in designing, analysing and synthesising evidence across different migration areas at local, national and EU levels. A mixture of qualitative and quantitative skills is required.

1. UK national migration reports for the EU Commission: Identifying and mapping key policy contacts across the HO and OGDs; co-ordinating and analysing responses from policy and operational leads in a range of areas across migration policy and drafting bespoke reports for the EU commission and UK stakeholders 
2. Briefings on International comparisons: Providing bespoke, succinct summaries of the EMN synthesis reports and Ad- hoc queries, including comparative analysis of the UK against other EU Member States 
3. Ad-hoc responsive research tasks 
4. Research advice/support: Work with policy, operational and research colleagues to help design and specify research projects to meet UK information needs. To provide advice/support on international comparisons EU Member States. Ensuring the dissemination of EMN products to relevant policy colleagues.
