As part of the commercial team you will be working to understand how we do business and be given responsibility for monitoring and reporting Ascent and supplier performance ensuring delivery of key products, maintaining stakeholder relations, contract administration and information management, ensuring compliance against contract obligations.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor MOD/Supplier/Ascent compliance with Contracts and Commercial Law
- Act as custodian of and administer Contracts & related contractual documents
- Act as a formal contractual interface with MOD & suppliers
- Assist in the management of contract changes, ensuring changes are logged, suppliers engaged and change proposals drafted
- Maintain information asset register in accordance with Ascent's Information Assurance Policy and drive Ascent's use of contract management ICT
- Legal, contractual and commercial issues are proactively reported in a timely manner using the relevant process/format
- Communicate Contract rights/obligations providing visibility & awareness
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential:
- Core Competence including (Practitioner Level): (a) communication; (b) team working including building relationships and giving support; (c) change, innovation and adaptability; (d) investigating issues, processing details, problem solving and making decisions; (e) structuring tasks, planning and prioritising
- ICT Competence (Practitioner Level) - including experience of relevant common business ICT tools including Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Desirable:
- Minimum 2:2 (Hons) degree
- 'Procurement Commercial Competence' (Awareness Level) including skills, experience and knowledge of managing competitions, bid evaluation and negotiation
- 'Contract Management Commercial Competence' (Awareness Level) including skills, experience and knowledge of service delivery & performance management, supplier relationship management, contract administration.
- 'Sector awareness Commercial Competence' including knowledge and awareness of the Company, UK defence, aerospace/simulation industry sectors and supporting technologies including aerospace, simulation, training and infrastructure
- The International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM) Certification or equivalent experience
