Are you an experienced Air Safety Engineer who is seeking an exciting new opportunity, where you will be working with clients to provide Air Safety and Airworthiness support for new and in-service air systems?

My client is a leading systems and engineering technology company, who work to make the world a more sustainable place. They are seeking a candidate with a strong technical background, to lead and manage projects and identify, develop and capture new opportunities.

Key Requirements

*Knowledge and experience of Systems Engineering with the ability to understand client requirements, unpack complex certification challenges and develop solution strategies which deliver multi-disciplined technical support at platform and system level;
*Wide experience (MOD/DE&S/Industry) of development of airworthiness strategies and delivery of type certification programmes;
*Strategic and tactical delivery level of understanding of Airworthiness and Air Safety; Regulation, the Military Airworthiness Certification Process, civil and military design standards and relevant US Military certification processes;
*Recent experience of fixed-wing, rotary-wing and UAS/RPAS type certification basis definition and certification evidence assessment.
*Experience of MOD acquisition with an in-depth understanding of the structure and content of existing UK, European, US and International design certification standards, including Def Stan 970, CS23-29, CS-E, FAR 23-29, MIL-HDBK-516B & C, and STANAG 4671.

Ideal Additional Requirements

*Recent experience within Design Organisations, OMEs and/or their supply chains;
*Knowledge of Military Air Safety Regulation and standards (eg Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publications, Def Stan 00-970, MIL-DHBK 516, JSSG);
*A broad understanding of air system design with ideally expertise in one or more systems (Structures, Propulsion, Electrical Power, Avionics, etc);
*Knowledge and experience of safety assessment and analysis techniques and application across a variety of aerospace systems and platforms;
*Knowledge and experience of Type Airworthiness Management, such as Integrity and configuration management;
*Software and Complex Electronic Hardware Safety Assurance (DO-254, DO-178C).
