Technical Author x4

Our client, the Ministry of Defence (through the Aurora Engineering Partnership), are seeking x4 Technical Author’s to join their team. The role will be based in either Bath or Weymouth. This role requires SC Clearance.

Technical Discipline: Technical Author|Software, Sensors & Electronic Systems

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31^st March 2020. This is a competitive tender and there is therefore no pre-defined price attached to this role. We suggest that a rate of £400 - £520/day will be competitive, however please approach us if you have different requirements.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. The MoD have indicated then intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

Specific Requirements

• This requirement is to support a Mode 3 service delivered by BMT to support the MCS CSA DT with the review and update of their Technical Publication suite.
• The resource is required to work as part of the BMT delivery team to review and update BRs, JICs, E-Lists and IPCs for equipment managed by the CSA DT.

• Needs to cover technical authoring and illustrating with knowledge of maritime processes and systems including communications (internal and external), radars, navigation, CCTV, ship air interfaces and integrated control systems.
• The candidate would need to be UK based being able to cover up to OFFICIAL SENSITIVE. Note that ITAR would be covered by BMT as would any above OS work.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted.
