AWE are currently recruiting for a Production Planner
Location - Reading area

Supporting a number of operational delivery units, including Manufacturing and Science, this role will involve providing planning services in order to translate the master production schedule into daily plans to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
In addition, key accountabilities and responsibilities will also include but are not limited to:
· Balancing demand and supply within Operational Delivery Units by co-ordinating and de-conflicting demand and capability
· Ensure local MRP system is updated and accurate
· Proactively tackle blocks and barriers to progress
· Provide manufacturing cost estimates and challenge operation times
· Demonstrate and use 'Lean Planning' techniques and 'Production Control' processes such as visual management, Kanban and Push/Pull in the operational/ manufacturing areas
· Responds positively to the needs of internal and external customers
· Support the creation and maintenance of Basis of Estimate with Production costs and schedule
· Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and to be a great team player
Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have a relevant manufacturing or planning qualification, strong stakeholder management, a proven track record of driving delivery, performance and continuous improvement and demonstrable working appreciation of operational and or manufacturing environments.
An ability adopt a 'See It, Own It, Solve It, do it' mind-set is essential.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to undertake UK and overseas travel.
