About the role
Babcock Naval Marine delivers the through life engineering support of the Royal Navy's complex maritime assets ranging from managed inventories of types of equipment up to whole ships and nuclear submarines.

This role sits within Babcock Analytic Solutions working within the Engineering services division of Babcock Naval Marine. Our business is to provide the engineering assurance, information management and business solutions that keep the Royal Navy at sea.

Within the solutions team, you will deliver collaborative solutions for use by the entire UK defence maritime enterprise including the customer and other industry participants. The products span the solution space from database applications through to big data and analytics.

Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager, the Senior Business and Systems Analyst is responsible for providing Business and Systems Analysis to the Ministry of Defence and industry partners.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have d egree qualified in an IT related discipline or with relevant experience and have excellent analytical skills coupled with a strong technical background gained over a number of post-academic years and practical experience of the full system development lifecycle

You will also need to have experience in the following areas:
  • Extensive experience of formal agile delivery, working in agile sprint format using epics, features and stories
  • Experience of creating detailed written reports and giving presentations
  • Possess good understanding of business process and information management principles
  • A self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Lastly you will have extensive experience of agile delivery, working in agile sprint format using epics, features and stories is desirable and have experience of bid work is desirable.
