Training and Capability Manager
Location: (Agile Working) Fulham, Westminster and other locations in the MPS Estate

Job Role: As the Training and Capability Manager, you will be responsible for developing and providing high quality, outcomes-focused training within the directorate. This will include supporting the transformation programme teams by acting as an SME around learning and development, advising on training and learning approaches and capture training needs affected by the transformation programmes.
You will be required to build solid relationships across the directorate and wider organisation and to support the development of required skills to realise programme benefits and to enhance capability.
Manage the training and capability function and champion and implement training and capability building, supporting the vision to develop world-class transformation directorate
Provide overall direction and expertise for training and capability building within the directorate and the functions impacted by the transformation
Ensure delivery of training and capability building outputs and deliverables
Essential for the role:
Experience in leading a training or learning and development team within a corporate business environment
Experience working within a complex transformation portfolio
Experience influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenge to director-level and key stakeholders
Experience of resolving and escalating risks, issues and conflicts as necessary within a complex change portfolio
Experience of managing suppliers and contractors, assuring quality and ensuring value for money
Experience of managing a team, setting a collaborative culture, building capability and creating an environment of continuous learning
Experience of providing deep technical expertise to project leads who may not have experience in training methodology
Experience of setting standards in the area of specialism
Experience of developing organisational capability in the specialism of training and capability
