We are currently recruiting for an Estate Strategy and Planning Principal.

This role will be to lead the development of site infrastructure investment and renewal business cases.

Location - Reading area

Package - £54,000pa - £62,000 DOE

This role involves working within the Estate Strategy team who are accountable for developing infrastructure plans to ensure we have the right facilities at the right time to deliver our programme. These strategies then will require management of the individual investments to ensure they are delivered in a timely fashion and achieve the benefits the Senior Sponsors has set out in their strategies.

To be successfully in reaching our desired outcomes you will be required to:

  • Lead the development of business cases and supporting artefacts required to support investment decisions.
  • Lead the development of problem definition, requirements capture and options appraisal.
  • Lead individual renewal and/or investment proposals as directed by the Senior Sponsor.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a team player.
  • Support Estate Leads to develop investment and renewals programme and supporting plans.
  • Provide business case, problem statements, requirements, options and investments appraisal artefacts.
  • Undertake in depth reviews of business data to assist Senior Sponsors in decision making (e.g. balance of investment).
  • Support the development of the Site Optimisation Strategy and Plan to demonstrate to the customer how we are delivering our infrastructure projects more efficiently.

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree Engineering/Science/Business/commercial discipline
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Qualified
  • Corporate strategy and business planning experience
  • In depth experience of business Management & business planning cycle.
  • Stakeholder management experience at all levels.
  • In depth knowledge of investment appraisal analysis.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of effectiveness in a multi task role, managing priorities and delivering to challenging timescales.
  • Business decision making skills associated with capital investment associated with both property and plant and equipment.
  • Proven track record managing plans in complex investment environment
  • Understands the likely future direction and issues for the organisation.
  • Successfully leading, motivating and managing cross functional team.
  • Proven track record of producing business cases, optioneering reports and investment appraisals.
