IP Core Engineer - (Shifts)

Urgently required an IP NOC Networks and Platform Engineer to work for our corporate client

This role is predominantly a Shift role working 2 days, 2 nights followed by 4 days off rotation.

The IP Engineer will provide the 2nd Line support to resolve: Incidents management, Support complex provide, assist with change activity, provide Infrastructure maintenance to support customer and platform requirements. As well as supporting on-boarding of New Networks.

This is a real-time operational role providing support for complex multi-technology solutions, in addition to a providing a sound knowledge of specific technologies

• Service restoration for complex faults (Technology & Solution based).
• Ensure that escalation is in line with both customer and internal guidelines
• Root Cause analysis for complex major incidents & escalated faults
• Provide technical and fault management input to customer and management fault reports.
• Where required, support new technology, service & solution.
• Support customer Project and Change delivery activities as required.
• Excellent working understanding of Ethernet IP & Data technologies, networks & solutions (Cisco, Alcatel, Nortel, Juniper) CCNA or CCNP or CCIP
• Protocols: MPLS, BGP, ISI
• Demonstrate abilities in mentoring colleagues, providing direction on technical fix and process adherence
• A clear and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Experience in an appropriate telecommunications/network field with a high level of understanding of the technologies
• Have an enhanced level of understanding to cover all networks discipline's,
