Enterprise Service Design Lead – Pegasus Project, Aurora (on behalf of MoD)

Our client, the Ministry of Defence (through the Aurora Engineering Partnership), are seeking an Enterprise Service Design Lead (Requirements and SDP Lead) to join their team. The role will be based in Marcomm Comcen (St Vincent) in St James’, London, with some travel required in the UK and internationally. This role requires SC Clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 30^th September 2020. This is a competitive tender and there is therefore no pre-defined price attached to this role. We suggest that a rate of £500 - £600/day will be competitive, however please approach us if you have different requirements.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. The MoD have indicated then intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

Specific Requirements

The purpose of the Service Design Lead is to start with a set of new or changed business requirements and culminates with the development of a service solution.

They will develop the Service Design Package: containing the steps for the build, test and deployment of new or changes services. Each requirement is analysed, documented and agreed, and a solution design is produced that is then compared with the strategies and constraints from Service Strategy to ensure that it conforms to corporate and IT policies. The design must ensure that this new or changed service is consistent with all other services, and that all other services that interface with, underpin or depend on the new or changed service are consistent with the new service.

The role requires five eyes IT engineering or service delivery or design experience.

Travel and Overtime

Based in St Vincent’s with travel within the UK based on MOD policy.

Occasional overseas travel to Australia/Canada/New Zealand/USA. Addressed as part of programme funding at Defence travel rates. Overtime expected to support one two hour meeting per week; to cater for time zone arrangements

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted.
