Systems Engineer - Intelligence Functional Services

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are actively seeking a highly personable and technically astute Intelligence Functional Services Systems Engineer. The ideal person for this role will have experience providing project and planning support within NATO, the MoD, civil service, the wider armed forces or a defence organisation. You will be responsible for various tasks related to technical support. This work is located in Mons, Belgium and will suit those either already living there or willing to work within that location unencumbered. Sound like a great fit?

THE ROLE

As our Systems Engineer, your daily role responsibilities will include:

• As an Intelligence Functional Area Systems Specialist in the JISR Service Line of the NCIA Agency, the you provide second and third level support of web services supporting the NATO Intelligence community. You will also be responsible for maintaining, testing and documentation of updates to the software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• You possess a degree or equivalent work experience in related field.

• Experience administering and developing HPE IDOL Autonomy Database technologies

• In depth experience of working and managing modern web applications running on the Microsoft 2008, 2012 and 2016 Operating systems

• Experience in maintaining and debugging complex C# and Javascript applications

• Active Directory troubleshooting and administration

• Experience and knowledge of message oriented middleware applications

• Experience with modern intelligence command and control systems.

• Experience working in an ITIL environment

• Experience in solving routine network and operating system issues

• Experience in administering Microsoft SQL Server databases. Installation, monitoring, back up and restore procedures, and the development of SQL queries to aid in the troubleshooting of application specific issues.

• Experience with GIT Source control repositories

• Experience in developing Powershell scripts to automate bulk data operations

• Ability to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret Security Clearance
