About the role
The Financial Controller will play a leading financial role within E&M to support business decision making, performance management and compliance with appropriate procedures, providing financial support to the Directors and the associated management teams of the E&M Business Streams. Taking day-to-day direction from the Directors of these businesses, whilst maintaining a functional link to the E&M Finance Director. This will include provision of support as well as data analysis and interpretation of the business line projects.

Top Major Tasks and Activities:
- Financial Management of Business Streams through the provision of forecast and actual results in a drive to meet revenue, profit & cash targets, ensuring Corporate Governance is maintained in the process
- To produce focused project specific financial information to assist and challenge the project teams to deliver their targets as part of the monthly and quarterly project review process.
- Effective cash management and forecasting through the timely raising and payment of invoices, provision of project cash flows to the weekly cash model and monthly analysis of Business Stream and project cash flows.
- Effective support in the commercial management of existing/new contracts Inc. change control, achieving variations and customer audits.
- Support to the bid process through the provision of rates analysis and challenge, governance of costing models and investment appraisals
What do I need to do the role?
- Qualified accountant with multiple years relevant business experience
- Demonstrates commercial awareness
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Articulate and influential, must be highly organised with exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Strategic thinker

- Confident and outgoing, with strong communication skills to negotiate, persuade and influence
- Able to manage a complex workload with multiple deadlines and stakeholders
