Job Details
We are looking for a Product Assurance Manager to provide independent quality and product assurance support to the company. This role will be based at our Barnstaple office, although the candidate will be expected to work at times at other customer sites, where business needs arise and will report to the Product & Technical Director.
Key Result Areas:
- Identifying customer and stakeholder Product Assurance (PA) requirements and ensuring they are flowed-down across SEA projects and production;
- Ensuring PA requirements are addressed by project plans and internal controls;
- Promoting best quality practice (i.e. documentation, design for production, configuration management, reliability, FMECA, etc.) across the company.
- Identifying PA risks, failures and non-conformances and ensuring effective action is taken to resolve issues and identify the root cause;
- Identifying appropriate suppliers and ensuring PA requirements are flowed-down;
- Maintaining effective quality relationships with suppliers
- Working with suppliers to ensure that supplier performance, risks, failure and non-conformance are effectively managed and that SEA has a high level of confidence that all incoming items are fit for purpose
- Ensuring that all company inputs (from suppliers) and outputs (deliverables) are fit for purpose.
Operational Standards and Objectives:
- Work is to be carried out to customer satisfaction and not attract customer complaint.
- Work is to comply with the Business Management System and the Company Quality System as applied through the Project Management and Quality Plans.
- Work is to be presented in the Company format unless specifically directed otherwise in recorded instructions.
- Comply with the provisions of Health and Safety legislation to assist in the maintenance of a safe workplace.
- Dress and act at all times in a professional manner to project a positive and successful corporate image.
- Contribute to professional exchanges and develop the corporate expertise in military matters.
- Maintain contacts with professional bodies and institutions.
You will already hold, or be prepared to undergo, SC Clearance.
