About the role

Here at Cavendish Nuclear we're looking to recruit a Mechanical FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) Engineer to join a team of over 100 highly skilled engineers who deliver high integrity upgrade projects for EDF Energy.

Using your experience of developing engineering solutions, you will support the function by developing the Project Brief Document, which forms the basis of each upgrade project. This will include meeting with the client to determine their needs, developing a solution and defining the costs. Following production of the Project Brief, you perform a support role and provide technical advice until the project has been delivered.

As well as working for on one the most high-profile nuclear organisations in the UK we also offer a supportive work environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.

What do I need to do the role?

• You'll need to hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Previously worked within a Nuclear/Power Generation or Petrochemical environment.
• High integrity engineering design and project development
• Broad engineering knowledge including electrical and process etc.

Lastly, you'll need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills as you'll work closely with the client and our internal and external stakeholders.

What else do I need to know?

• The role requires a high amount of travel to EDF Energy sites across the UK. All travel costs will be covered.
• You can be based from either Bristol, Warrington or Leicester OR one of the client sites at Heysham, Bridgewater, Hunterston or Hartlepool.
• Competitive salary offered and excellent benefits package.
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
