Senior Implementation Manager (ITM Modernisation)
LOCATION: Brussels, Belgium
CLIENT: NATO
DURATION: End of this year with possible extensions
CONTRACT: Consultant
SALARY: Negotiable daily rate
CLEARANCE: NATO Secret
TASKS:
- Under the direction of IT the Modernization (ITM) Project Manager (or, his designate), you will perform duties such as the following:
- Coordinateproject/work package technical activities to ensure reaching the strategic objectives of the ITM project,
- Maintain project plan, budget, resource pools, standing project introduction materials,
- Maintain project management repositories (documents, configuration, changes),
- Provide periodic reporting (internal and external) and prepare adhoc reports and assessments,
- Assure timely delivery and high quality of deliverables,
- Maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders,
- Inspect work conducted by the ITM Contractor(s),
- Provide technical advice as needed to the ITM Contractor(s),
- Deputize for the ITM Project Manager,
- Performs other duties as may be required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You will need to prove at least 3 years of experience as a project manager in major CIS projects.
- Experience in applying multi-discipline engineering and management techniques in the acquisition of complex communication and information systems;
- Experience in managing, planning, design, system engineering and implementation of military or other communication and information systems;
- Knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies, relevant to the work, including information processing and transfer of information;
- Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills;
- High proficiency in planning, simulating, progress tracking and reporting using MS Project/EPM 2010/2013;
- High proficiency in using MS Office 2013/2016 and SharePoint 2013 tools;
- Proactive attitude in seeking and maintaining trust from stakeholders;
- Able to work productively in a pressure environment.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Recent relevant experience on medium NATO projects in a leadership function
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a project team leader
- Recent experience in migration& transition of large user communities to new IT solutions
- Domain knowledge in cyber security area in a leadership role
- Domain knowledge in client devices configurations, large rollouts, migration, etc. (also in leadership position)
- Knowledge of international, commercial/industrial standards for information processing and transfer of information;
- Conversant with NATO policy and procurement procedures;
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
- M.Sc. in relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Certifications: PRINCE2 (mandatory), Agile (desired), ITIL (nice to have)
