Role Summary/Purpose:
    A Contracts Manager is accountable for functional, business and broad company objectives. In this role you will manage complex issues within your functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, contract negotiation, process implementation and improvement and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform as the principle contracts focal point for your respective Product Group
  • Provide advice and counsel to the Product Business Leader on contractual matters
  • Provide advice and counsel on contractual matters to all other functional areas as required
  • Develop a deep understanding of products and product strategy
  • Effectively interface with all functions of the business including Manufacturing, Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance and Legal
  • Provide creative solutions / alternatives to meet client requirements
  • Support the NPI Tollgate Policy through attendance at tollgates
  • Support the Sales team through the development of contract risk mitigation strategies in support of new business opportunities
  • Review, draft, interpret, flow-down and administer contracts for the sale of GE products or services
  • Lead / support single P&L contract negotiations with customer
  • Lead and participate in simplification projects to improve processes efficiency
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) or equivalent knowledge or experience
