AWE are currently recruiting for a Production Material Planner

Location - Reading area

Supporting the Production Function at AWE, this role will involve providing material planning services to determine the current status of material availability for all production requirements and to plan the supply of materials and/or subcomponent manufacture to meet future delivery dates.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Ensure on time delivery of material in line with the requirements of the production plan

· Implement/develop Plan For Every Part (PFEP) methodology and enact ongoing stock replenishment mechanisms

· Provide resolution of material queries through discussion with relevant stakeholders and customers

· Develop and maintain metrics in support of the material planning team strategy

· Attend task reviews and de-conflict any emerging material requirements

· Generate material route cards, in line with specifications and the management of materials that require life control

· Resolve and/or escalate any material related issues including root cause analysis

· Monitor inventory levels and stock replenishment activities to ensure items are available prior to task commencement

· Develop and produce visual metrics for the Operational Delivery Units

· Improve processes and drive change in the department, including the installation and monitoring of material Pull and Flow systems

· Promote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvement

· Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and to be a great team player

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have a relevant manufacturing or planning qualification, strong stakeholder management, a proven track record of driving delivery, performance and continuous improvement and demonstrable working appreciation of operational and or manufacturing environments. An ability to use ERP / MRP2 systems and adopt a 'See It, Own It, Solve It' mind-set is preferred.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to undertake UK and overseas travel.
