Role Summary/Purpose:
    The Business Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role. you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
    The successful candidate will be fully accountable in providing the Strategic and Operational Direction of the assigned business unit.
  • Provide overall leadership for the business unit in terms of safety, quality, fulfilment, cost and delivery
  • Direct continuous process / product improvement programs for the business unit
  • Lead the Business Unit in achieving productivity and utilisation through its people, deliver process improvements whilst maintaining the highest standard of quality,
  • Develop and execute a cost reduction strategy for the business unit
  • Deliver clear and concise communications to key stakeholders and customers
  • Develop the necessary business Unit plan to enhance throughput, labour hours, cycle and Cost times
  • Provide overall leadership to a team of Salaried employees, giving guidance and support on delivering towards cost reduction, Quality and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure assigned salaried employees are aware/comply and held to account for all applicable GE Policies and Procedures
  • Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned employees
  • Provide ongoing supervision and coaching to assigned employees assisting with problem solving, career development and training opportunities
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Proven results with experience of leading a large and complex team
  • Demonstrated competent leadership to drive desired outcome
  • Proven experience in Operations Management, preferably in a production facility
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Concepts
  • Degree Qualified Preferable, not essential
