Electrical Transmission & Distribution Engineer
My Client is looking for Electrical Transmission & Distribution Engineer. My client employs over 700 employees and they work from a network of nine UK and three Australian locations. There consultants apply their expertise and know-how to develop, enhance and protect our clients' critical assets, systems and processes.
They work across every type of electrical power network from medium sized industrial distribution systems to national transmission and distribution networks. They cover power system planning and analysis, overhead lines and towers, cables, substations, HVDC and protection and control.
Background & Experience
-High voltage AC and DC Electrical power and distribution system design.
-Specialist equipment support, for example: turbo generators, transformers, switchgear, cables.
-Working on innovation projects in the transmission and distribution sector, taking new systems and technologies from ideation through to delivery.
-Supporting financial performance in specified areas.
-Supporting the procurement of work and negotiating contracts / agreements with clients.
-Supporting Grid Connection studies, Demand side Response and Smart Grids.
-Verification and approval of technical output.
-Project supervision and control of risks.
Essential Skills
-Minimum of 3 years' Electrical Power & HV experience applied to transmission and distribution networks.
-MSc in Electrical Engineering (Or equivalent experience)
-CEng (or working towards).
-Understand how Systems Engineering is applied to the UK energy networks.
-Private Wire Networks / Micro Grids
-Network Power Systems Modelling & Analysis (Digsilent, SimPowerSystems)
-Application of regulated industry standards, methodologies and principles.
-Can demonstrate familiarity with transmission and distribution technical procedures and policy.
-Experience with working to the requirements of ISO 9001.
