DST is a business unit within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group. Working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, DST works with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. We're based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.

Responsibilities
You will undertake 3-6 month long assignments across different areas of our business covering:
Supply Chain and Logistics:
  • Strategic Sourcing - using analytical skills to identify appropriate sources of supply for goods and services at best value. This will provide an awareness of our six step sourcing process.
  • Supplier Relationship Management - Meeting with suppliers to drive improvements in their delivery and quality performances and explore how we can reduce costs.
  • Operational Procurement - Managing complex supply chain and supplier delivery performance, developing tactical negotiation skills and looking for synergy opportunities between customer and strategic suppliers.
  • Commercial - Supporting the negotiation of contract terms with both the customer and multiple suppliers. This will provide exposure to detailed commercial contract documents and an understanding of terms and conditions of purchase and sales.
Project Management:
  • Project Assistant - Managing the open order book with the customer and liaising with customer inventory managers to manage our delivery performance. This will give good exposure to customer relationships.
  • Opportunities to develop project management skills, engaging with key stakeholders, attending key customer reviews and supporting organic growth opportunities.
  • Supporting project governance, to assist in the management and reporting of project resources, risks, opportunity and issues.
  • Support Project Team managing bespoke Post Design Service activities, creating and updating project plans from concept to delivery including working with suppliers and customers to confirm scope, pricing, and management of project work packages.

Location
Bristol is a vibrant city in south west England with a wide range of attractions, landmarks, events and shopping. It has excellent transport links and is only 1.5 hours from London by train.
This role is based at Bristol Business Park.

Security
Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements and may be required to complete a medical assessment.
