The Training Performance Manager acts as a primary point of contact between the training delivery sites and the training support hub and also between Ascent and Authority stakeholders on matters of training performance and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of class progress against the agreed Flying Training Programme (FTP) and the timely preparation, presentation and delivery of associated training performance data
  • Responsible for training standards and the adherence to DSAT protocols for which they are the Ascent focal point.
  • Analysis of the Training Design, assessment of the standards of teaching and courseware, and production of plans and strategies to maintain and improve Ascent's performance
  • Management of Students and the processing of data related to their progress
  • Key member of the Emergency Response Team and is required to undertake the activities specified in the Ascent Emergency Response Plan.
  • Collate and report on training performance metrics.
  • In consultation with Operations Programme Manager FJ/FW, maintain and deliver a coherent, achievable Course Delivery Schedule (CDS).
  • Uphold adherence to the Health, Safety & Environmental Polices and Air Safety responsibilities
  • Uphold partnering behaviours and participate in events as required
  • Line management of a small team

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:
  • Demonstrable and relevant military flying experience;
  • Credible understanding of military flying training;
  • In depth understanding of DSAT principles including the evaluation of training;
  • Good understanding of MAA regulatory principles; and
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office products.

Desirable:
  • Ex CFS accredited Aircrew Instructor;
  • Ex-military Aircrew Instructor Supervisor;
  • Good understanding of UKMFTS training solutions;
  • Working understanding of the UKMFTS TSP agreement;
  • Working understanding of ISO 9001:2008 requirements; and
  • Association of Project Management or Prince 2 project management qualification or equivalent experience.
