Roke are developing its project management office (PMO) capabilities to address the various complex programme needs in our broad range of Defence, Government and Commercial Programmes.  We need an experienced PMO Analyst with supply chain and commercial process engagement experience to provide specialist services across the complete lifecycle supporting the Programme Manager in realising programme objectives. Roke will recognise your career aspirations to develop as a PMO specialist providing vital services to the business or broaden your experience into project management.

What will your role look like? 

You will be responsible for:

  • Provide input to programme, supply chain and commercial authorities enabling informed decision making.
  • Engagement with the supply chain to set up co-located integrated teams, participation in conferences and events.
  • Maintain and implement the programme commercial and supply chain process from supplier identification, supply chain competition, supplier selection and contract award.
  • Provide input to continuously improve processes as required
  • Maintain the supply chain management tool in accordance with project requirements
  • Process agreed contracts and tasks from conception through to contract award and contract closure
  • Create and maintain a log of contracts, changes received / originated, decisions made timeframes and status
  • Identify, create and maintain a log of all suppliers required to deliver the future capabilities of the programme
  • Report status of changes with impact, priority and risk categorisation.
  • Coordinate and schedule optimal implementation in alignment with programme schedule requirements
  • Input to Programme and Project schedules as required
  • Input to the multiple project risk logs as required
  • Input to the multiple project issues, action and decision logs as required
  • Support option appraisal and Cost Benefit Analysis
  • Provide input to status reports as required

What do we need from you?

  • You will ideally have 3 to 5 years’ experience of working in a PMO with exposure to the above range of activities with in depth specialist experience in at least one (Scheduling, Risk Management, etc)
  • You will have recognised training in at least one area such as supply chain / commercial / APM / PRINCE2, risk management / scheduling etc
  • Exposure to technical and business programmes with a general understanding of related lifecycles, process and terminology
  • Proactive and willing to cross role boundaries to support the team and business in achieving its objectives
  • Hands on with a passion for high quality delivery at pace and willing to support others where there is a peak in demand/loading
  • An effective communicator with the ability to engage with all levels of project team members
  • You will be able to drive / travel to customer and supplier sites as required

What else would we like?

  • Experience with supply chain management portal tools
  • It would be beneficial to have experience in Defence, Government and Commercial sectors
  • Experience with Primavera / MS Project and other PMO related tools sets
  • Experience in using teleconferences, video conference, webex etc
  • Experience of customer and supplier engagement

Security

Due to the nature of the work associated with this position, we require you to hold or be eligible to achieve UKSV Security Clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and/or meet the residency requirements and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years. 

If you already hold SC clearance we will provide assistance in transferring this, if you do not hold clearance we will help you through the clearance process. We also pay a bonus for those already holding or willing to attain a higher level clearance.
