Vehicle Mechanic (Field Mobile Support Team)

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a FMST Vehicle Mechanic to deliver skilled tasks using the correct procedures, tooling/machinery and materials while adhering to the prescribed safety standards to produce high quality outputs in line with the delivery plan(s).
Main responsibilities include;
This is an excellent opportunity to join Babcock working for a very large organisation who are keen to develop their staff and offer progression.
What do I need to do the role?
You will have completed the relevant technical or vocational qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3 (Advanced apprenticeship, level 3 NVQ).
Ex-Military experience would be advantageous and a driving licence at Category B or B1 is essential to the role.
What else do I need to know?
Field Mobile Support Teams will be based at DSG sites across the UK from where they will deploy in Babcock vehicles to work and where necessary live alongside contract Units for the agreed exercise durations.
This role could be considered for flexible working.

- To complete tasks to the appropriate quality / output standard level
- To use the correct tooling / machinery to complete tasks
- To ensure non-conforming or poor quality material are highlighted to Supervisors and NCR processes completed
- To ensure non-confirming or poor quality labour outputs are highlighted to Supervisors and NCR processes completed
- To ensure data entered into IT systems is fully complete and accurate
