About the role
Babcock Digital Solutions provides a comprehensive suite of Information Knowledge Management based applications, processes, services and tools delivered via a variety of secure mediums that enable users and stakeholders across the Maritime domain to access, interpret and manage critical configuration, engineering change and engineering management data in order to improve efficiency, transparency, traceability and cost effective decision making.
We are a proactive and dedicated multi skilled team who work closely with our various customers, users and stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver cost effective and efficient technology solutions to improve and enhance business output across the Maritime environment.
If you are a practical and enthusiastic individual who has experience of end to end project delivery in the information technology or defence sectors, and are looking for a permanent position in a project management team we would like to hear from you.
As a Junior Project Manager in the Digital Solutions team you would be working with the group to assist in the delivery, management and support of a variety of projects to the agreed budget, timescales and quality standard.
This would involve providing support to the Project Managers and the wider Digital Solutions team in all aspects of project management and assisting in the project elements of service management.
You would need to be able to liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders, users and customers in order to provide project management based support
The role requires an enthusiastic individual willing to contribute, learn and support the day to day delivery of projects
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to be e ducated to degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience. Have a working knowledge of project management and have experience of working in a project or Project Management Office role previously.
You will also need to have experience in the following areas:
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Project management methods and leadership skills.
  • An understanding and knowledge of
    • Procurement,
    • Scheduling,
    • Budget and Cost Control,
    • Risk Management
    • Stakeholder Management,
    • Communications,
    • Change Control
