Senior Engineer Business Improvement

About the role
The Platform Engineering Team (PET) provides in-service support to the Royal Navy's fleet of Submarines. The post sits within the Engineering Programme Management Group of PET and provides support to the rest of the business in terms of Business Improvement. The team seek out opportunities for continuous improvement, process re-engineering, general organisational change and wider transformation.
You will be responsible for one or more change initiatives, the budget associated with the task and delivering outputs and outcomes as defined in the agreed project mandate & scope.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to be a recognised project manager ideally with some engineering or change management background.
You should also have experience in all or some of the following areas:

• Hold APM Fundamentals or Practitioner qualification.
• Experience within the Defence Sector

Lastly, due to the technical nature of the work an understanding of general engineering principles and the ability to communicate with engineers is a must.

• The role will be based in Keynsham, with occasional travel to other sites, such as Devonport and Faslane as required by the project.
