About the role
Here at Babcock Devonport we are looking for 2 Access Officers to join the team.
The job will entail primarily serving eligible customers with access passes and Vehicle permits ensuring that any rules and regulations therein are upheld.
This upholding of rules and regulations ensures that the security of the Naval Base is upheld.
The office is required to be resourced from 06:30-18:00 Monday to Friday.
You will need to have a flexible approach and will be willing to work at the beginning and end of the period as required. This flexibility is vital to ensure that the offices are adequately resourced to meet the business requirements. You will also be required to undertake various access control tasks from inputting visit notifications to vetting individuals thus allowing unescorted access to the Naval Base.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to show evidence of having worked within a customer focused background and have experience in dealing with both service personnel and members of the public and be proficient in the use of standard corporate computer applications
You will also need to have experience in the following areas:
  • Hold NVQ 2 in Administration or equivalent or have suitable experience
  • Hold 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics
  • Preferably hold the following DISA qualifications or be willing to complete them:
  • Security Vetting Procedures
  • Document/Information Security & International Visits & Contract Security
