Head of Software
Our client is a UK based electronics solutions provider operating in both the defence and aerospace sectors. They provide secure communications systems and intelligence gathering technologies.
Due to recent contract awards and growth of the business They are looking for a Head of Software to provide technical leadership of up to 20 engineers within information insurance. You will work on projects with values up to several £m.
Key Responsibilities
*Previous experience of line management, resource management and implementing process improvements.
*Significant experience of embedded product development (bare-metal and RTOS) using best practice over the full software development lifecycle.
*Experience of Windows, Python and Linux application and driver development advantageous.
*Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques and technology trends.
*Experience of DOORS, TDD, GoogleTest, Jenkins, CodeSonar, JIRA, UML and SysML would be advantageous.
*Degree in an engineering, mathematical or science-based subject desirable.
*Willing and able to obtain, and maintain, DV security clearance.

This is a Permanent Role
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
