Role Summary/Purpose:
    A position has become available for an Electrical Tradesperson/Aircraft Engineer in the Component Repair Business Unit. The business is looking for an individual who will have technical responsibility for the certification and/or inspection, repair, overhaul, modification, replacement or defect rectification of an engine or engine components.
Essential Responsibilities:
    Technical
  • You will be required to carry out any one or combination of overhaul, repair, modification, inspection, replacement, or defect rectification of an engine/module/accessory/component/unit
  • Restore used parts, component/assembly/engine/module/accessory/unit by inspection, and/or replacement in conformity with an approved standard to extend the operational life
  • Restore a component/engine/module to a serviceable condition in conformity with an approved standard and to ensure that cost effective operation is achieved
  • Visual inspect incoming component for obvious signs of damage or deterioration
  • Ensure the component has been overhauled by Vendors in accordance with purchase order and holds the respective paperwork and certificationIntegrity
  • Ensure compliance with GE policy, procedure and regulatory requirements and ethical behaviorHealth & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety requirementsQuality

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Internal Employees Only - Certified A-Stamp Holder
  • Completed an 'indentured' Electrical Apprenticeship/ Previous experience of Electrical Engineering in the Aerospace Industry
    - (DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE OF THIS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THE POINT OF APPLICATION E.G - Log Book/ Certifications)
