Piping Draughtsman

About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Piping Design Engineer/Draughtsman to join our Liquified Gas Equipment (LGE) Division. We design and supply cargo handling systems for liquefied gas ships that carry Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) across the globe. Current projects are mainly in South Korea and China at the biggest shipyards in the world and we are also involved in numerous other projects and locations.
Based at our Head Office at Rosyth, you will be part of an experienced and supportive team of Engineers and you will integrate with numerous engineering departments. You will generate 2D and 3D drawings related to liquefied gas carriers and other oil & gas marine projects using AutoCAD and Bentley AutoPLANT. You will develop plant layouts, skid structures and pipework arrangement 3D models and produce output drawings. Generate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and participate in design review and client pipework reviews.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need to have experience of 3D piping modelling and isometric drawing creation within a highly regulated industry and hold a qualification within Draughting/CAD.
