About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Mobile Repair Technician Controller.
You will efficiently and effectively manage the planning and scheduling of Mobile Repair Technicians including but not limited to repair and maintenance job card allocation/ dispatch, using Babcock's established Fleet & Asset Management Solution. This will require a level of technical skills & engineering knowledge in the field of vehicle fleet and asset management, due to the technical nature of the MRT team and the field services undertaken therein.
An essential component of this role is working closely with the wider Managed Service Centre team to co-ordinate the effective and efficient management of MRT Technicians tasked with responding to roadside assistance calls and/or London Fire Brigade station visits, which is required for planned and unscheduled maintenance tasks. Managing and dispatching MRTs resources to ensure each Code 1 and Code 2 defect is dealt with in a timely manner in line with the contractual agreement and associated Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the LFB end-customer.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have a Recognised vehicle based Electrical / Mechanical qualification e.g. City & Guilds, HNC etc.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
  • Significant experience in a technical environment
  • Experience of producing correspondence, reports and spreadsheets
  • Experience of supervising a team
  • Ideally, membership of Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE) or Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) ideally.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Lastly, you'll need a Full UK Driving License.
What else do I need to know?
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
