Senior Safety Engineer

Senior Safety Engineer required to provide a focal point within multi-disciplined project teams for Safety requirements associated with integration and installation of sub-systems or complete design and development at the platform & subsystem levels. The role will also encompass physical and functional development throughout the design, qualification and verification phases of a project lifecycle. The role will take a holistic approach to safety and environmental engineering, taking into account factors such as cost, design for manufacture and through life support.

The successful candidates will have the below skills/Experience:

The candidate will have a strong understand and experience of Safety Engineering for Systems.

System and product safety case plans and reports.

Fault Tree and Event Tree Analysis.

Modular Safety Cases and Goal Structuring Notation (GSN).

Def Stan 00-56; IEC 61508; JSP 454.

HAZOPS.

Safety Integrity Levels (SILs).

Knowledge of current/future safety and environmental legislation.

OHHA/OSHA.

COSHH.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
