About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Licenced Engineer to join our Babcock Onshore team. Babcock Onshore is a leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to our air ambulance, police and offshore sectors. We provide world-class operations to our customers helping them to save lives and protect communities every day.

Our fleet of 32 helicopters from bases across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland has been providing dedicated air ambulance support for more than 20 years and our police helicopters have been supporting UK communities for almost a decade. Babcock Onshore constantly invests in new aircraft, equipment and training to ensure the consistent capability to deliver safe, dependable operational excellence at all times.

Babcock Onshore have an EASA Part 145 approved base maintenance facility in Staverton, enabling periodical inspections, installations, modifications, training and engineering support to its fleet of EC135 and H145 rotary aircraft. The post holder is responsible for maintaining high standards of work and reports directly to the Base Maintenance Co-ordinator.

This will give you the opportunity to work in a well-equipped, friendly and well supported facility, with the chance to support line operations. Personal career development is encouraged with high level training provided where necessary.

What do I need to do the role?
  • Hold a B1-3 licence. EC135 Type rating is desirable but, for the right applicant, training can be provided.
  • Computer literate.
  • Possess a clean driving licence.
  • Live within 25 miles or 45 minutes travel time of Gloucestershire Airport.
  • Must be a British Citizen, European Economic Area (EEA) national, a commonwealth Citizen or Foreign National with no restrictions on your stay in the UK.

What else do I need to know?
  • Our headquarters are in Staverton, Gloucestershire.
  • Salary is competitive. Overtime will also be available
  • 40 hours per week, required to work shifts.
