Job Details

Dstl Porton Down operates a strategic national asset to securely dispose of high hazard materials generated by the science and technology research programme. Our CBR division, Specialist Facilities Group maintains a thermal treatment capability 24 hours a day and we are looking for someone to join the team and support the management of this facility.

With experience in the waste industry & project management coupled with excellent communication skills you’ll support waste management and operations, providing technical leadership and expertise for the process for internal and external customers across the organisation and other government departments.

You’ll ensure team members adhere to health and safety across the operation at all times and using your keen eye for detail ensure information is accurately detailed and captured.
Supporting the Team Leader in in the management of the Incinerator Operations you’ll provide input into risk assessments and operating procedures and apply operational flexibility to ensure the facility capability is effectively maintained.

Licences
Driving B + E licence

Qualifications:
IOSH Managing Safely
COTC or Wamitab L3 or above in the waste industry.
