Purpose:

Member of the Site Leadership Council. Reporting to the Human Resources Leader of Product Group Avionics & Sensing, working closely with the Site Director of Meggitt’s Fareham site. Your role will consist in deploying the HR strategy and lead, coordinate, and develop the HR team to fulfil customer expectation.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching to the managers on change management and how to leverage team engagement, challenge the current organization structure and provide insights on how to shape it to better answer to market challenges and customer expectation,
  • Support the development of a High Performance Culture for the site,
  • Understand and support the evolution of the site by developing and implementing a talent plans that helps support and sustain site growth potential,
  • Ensure appropriate career development programs and initiatives are aligned with critical skill development and succession planning,
  • Provide proactive guidance and counsel to managers and employees on employee relations issues and other development feedback,
  • Work closely  with functional HR Teams (Talent Acquisition, Comp & Ben, Learning and Development and HR operations) to deliver and advocate programs and processes,
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the ODHR function in link with the continuous improvement program of the company to reinforce Customer Satisfaction,
  • Drive employee feedback initiative through employee engagement survey to leverage team engagement, and oversees the development of focus group and action planning processes,
  • As a member of the Site Leadership Council, be a business partner, engage in every aspect of the business and offer insights and points of view beyond HR function,
  • Coach and develop your team in all aspect of the HR function.

Key skills and competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in relevant field desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Human Resource experience.
  • Demonstrated HR experience in a 3 box model HR organization
  • Demonstrated success in all Human Resources functional areas within a fast- paced, high growth environment. Must be hands-on and capable of producing work with limited support
  • Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation, flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from planning phase through completion.
  • Excellent leadership skills including; strong communication skills, delivery of results, consultative skills, partnership skills and team building.
  • Able to work in a matrixed environment who can take the initiative without a lot of direction.
