A market leading secure communication solutions are currently searching for a driven and passionate Linux Systems Engineer to join their expert team. This interesting new opportunity is focused on supporting internal and cloud infrastructure, as well as project-based work.
In this role you would be working in a hybrid cloud infrastructure environment. This position would be suited to someone who is passionate about Linux (predominantly Ubuntu), as you will be responsible for installing the company product suite, and solving infrastructure problems across multiple projects.
There are currently several product lines that depend on extensive infrastructure of server and network components. If you are a highly competent, hands-on individual then this position will fit you, it is also important to hold hands-on experience with code, network and system level security.
The key skills they are looking for:
- Proven commercial experience with Linux (Ubuntu, with Red Hat as an advantage) admin
- Strong knowledge of scripting and other server-side programming, e.g. Python/Bash
- Networking Skills
Anything further experience is an added bonus to strengthen your application:
- Customer facing/on-site client support experience
- Experience of configuration management software
- Experience and willingness to work with open source software, like Docker, KVM, Prometheus, Apache/NGiNX, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and others. Must be eligible and willing to undertake, UK security clearance vetting.
