Risk and Performance Manager, Ministry of Defence, up to £600/day

The Ministry of Defence are seeking a Risk and Performance Manager to join them at MoD Main Building, Whitehall, London.

Team: Risk|Compliance|Risk Director

Initial contracts will run for 6 months and offer a rate up to £600/day.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. This engagement has been assessed by the public body as Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. Applicants require active DV clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred.

Main Responsibilities

• Implement risk framework.
• Maintain risk registers whilst ensuring the outcome of workshops and interviews is accurately reflected.
• Ensure that risks are kept up to date and that aggregated risks are identified and escalated where necessary including liaison with other Risk Practitioners.
• Development and review of Risk Management products and standard templates, work with managers to help identify, assess, manage, review, monitor, report and communicate key risks which could affect business aims and objectives.
• Complete tasks as defined by the delivery scorecard.
• Support performance reporting
• Risk management and performance reporting

Skills and Experience

• DV is essential
• Knowledge and experience of risk management essential
• Some travel to PMO offices will be required
• Experience of ARM or equivalent beneficial

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted. This role requires that candidates be willing to undergo BPSS (DS) Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland).
