Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Analyst to work on one of our largest client sites in a beautiful location.  Interesting and varied work as part of a friendly team, you are a vital part of the Company as you take ownership of changes and problems, update incident records, review changes and manage resource scheduling.  This is a large and well established IT site with excellent career progression. 

Please note, the successful candidate must be eligible for and willing to undergo a security clearance process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and take ownership of all changes/problems/incidents.
  • Investigate problems and update the incident records
  • Analyse changes/problems/incidents to determine any trends or apparent problems
  • Identify any areas of difficulty or areas for improvement providing a quality service to the customer.
  • Review the processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Liaise with client and team to co-ordinate Change building, testing and implementation.
  • Manage all changes/problems/incidents and escalate any issues to Problem/Change manager.
  • Assist the Head of Portfolio Delivery in arranging and co-ordinating the monthly resource scheduling meeting / attend meetings and management of resource scheduling and liaising with architects and project managers.

Essential skills & experience

  • Knowledge of ITIL service management processes and practices.
  • Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management processes.
  • ITIL foundation.
  • Experience and knowledge of MS Office packages (at intermediate/advanced level)
  • Experience of working on a helpdesk in an IT environment.
  • Computer Sciences Certificate or equivalent.
  • Microsoft MCP qualified or equivalent.

Desired

  • Experience with service level agreements.
  • Good working knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their area and an awareness of its application within past and present engagements.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of service management tools, techniques and methods.
  • Experience of working as a Service Analyst on small to medium service management environments.
