Job title:   IT Service Desk Analyst / 1st Line 

Location:  Portsmouth

Salary: To £26K Dependant on Experience 

Role Overview  

This is a large and complex, secure IT site that can offer you career growth, challenges, a friendly team and the opportunity to work on the most rewarding area in IT.  Joining the Service Desk Team and resolving 1st line incidents, you should have similar previous experience and be comfortable with Windows 7/10 and MS Office 2010 applications. 

Please note, the successful candidate must be eligible for and willing to undergo a security clearance process

Responsibilities 

  • Accurately log and record call details
  • High level of contact with users throughout the business by open communication
  • Use scripts, personal skills and knowledge to resolve incidents at 1st line
  • Assign calls to the correct resolver groups
  • Feedback to users relating to service
  • Create and maintain user based FAQ's and known errors, log and assist in the maintenance of known error database
  • Installation of software at user level

Essential skills & experience

  • Experience in an IT customer focused environment
  • Ability to diagnose faults and resolve calls first line
  • Service Desk experience in a complex IT support environment
  • Experience with Windows 7/10, MS Office 2010 applications to include Outlook support
  • Full UK Driving License
