Location: Brussels, Belgium

Rate: Negotiable (up to 400€ a day, depending on experience)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months initially (possibility of extension upon completion of this contract)

Hours per week: 40 hours

Industry: Aerospace

The client: One of our main customers and a key player within the civil aviation industry in Europe. They specialise in the design, production and assembly of complex structural elements for both and spacecraft, specific software and electronic, electrical and electro-hydraulic components.

Main duties:

• Leads improvements on existing processes for the production and integration of aircraft's sub-assemblies
• Cooperates with the team to minimise the cost where possible and improve quality
• Advises the designers in Design-for-Automation
• Introduces automation where possible
• Supports the internal production of the tools
• Reports to the head of the manufacturing engineering department

Must haves:

• MSc in Industrial Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience within a comparable complex environment with exposure to automated assemblies
• Experience in CNC machining and integration of metal components
• Previous experience in implementation of continuous improvement projects
• Being fluent in (at least) 2 of the following languages: English, French and Dutch
• Background in automotive or aerospace
