Information Gatherer, Aurora (on behalf of MoD)

Our client, the Ministry of Defence (through the Aurora Engineering Partnership), are seeking an Information Gatherer to join their team. The role will be based in MoD Abbey Wood, Bristol. The role requires SC clearance.

Technical Discipline: Procurement|Contract Transition

Requirements are scheduled to run from August 2019 until December 2019. This is a competitive tender and there is therefore no pre-defined price attached to this role. We suggest that a rate of £500 - £600/day will be competitive, however please approach us if you have different requirements. Note that the task is likely to be full time for the first month and then part time thereafter, subject to task requirements. The level of input required following the first month will be agreed on a monthly basis.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. The MoD have indicated then intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

The Role

Working under instruction from the task lead, specifically to:

• Identify personnel, within the incumbent service provider (BDUK), who own / provide information that has been identified within the FLIS contract as relating to transition.
• Ensure that requests for information to BDUK, or other agreed source, are made through the appropriate channels.
• Follow up with information owners / providers to ensure that requested information is provided within required timescales.
• Identify SMEs (within MoD) who are able to validate the information provided and follow up with them to ensure that the information is validated within agreed timescales.
• Provide weekly progress report to the task lead.

Specific Requirements

• Working knowledge of FLIS contract and how it is delivered.
• Detailed understanding of information requirements relating to transition of IT service contracts.
• Good commercial understanding of IT service contracts.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted.
