About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager working within Defence Systems Technology (DST), Bristol.

DST is a business unit within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group. Working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, DST works with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. We're based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.

We are looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager who has independently delivered engineering projects to time, cost and quality in a complex environment and across the whole project lifecycle. The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day project management functions of cross functional teams of people in the delivery of spares and repairs, hardware and site support contracts under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager for the ASTUTE / ITH Projects.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll ideally need to have a bachelor's degree in engineering / project / construction management or a related field

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
  • Has the APM Practitioner Qualification (PQ) or APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) [formerly known as APMP] and is a Member of the APM
  • Has good knowledge of project tools and techniques including Microsoft Project (MS), Risk Management tools, ERP Systems and financial and resource planning tools
  • Is competent in MS Office

Lastly, you'll need to be a strong team player and effective communicator who is keen to drive achievement of milestones and can encourage and challenge engineering, supply chain and production teams towards success.
