THE OPPORTUNITY

We are actively seeking a highly personable and technically astute Writer and Editor. The ideal person for this role will have experience providing financial and project documentation and reports within NATO, the MoD, civil service, the wider armed forces or a defence organisation. You will be responsible for various tasks related to technical support. This work is located in Brussels, Belgium and will suit those either already living there or willing to work within that location unencumbered. Sound like a great fit?

THE ROLE 

Your daily role responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Act as SME providing writing guidance to management teams.
  • Assist managers in technical and non-technical writing matters.
  • Facilitate documentation reviews and project walkthroughs.
  • Help stakeholders to improve understanding of the subject matter.
  • Improve the organisational quality of documentation and products as related to organisational procedures.
  • Assist in establishing project documentation work standards
  • Write and edit reports on associated activities, programs and projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Passionate about this opportunity? Here are the basic qualifications we are looking for:

  • A degree or equivalent work experience in related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and other MS Office products
  • Superb communication and negotiation skills
  • Practical experience working with Microsoft SharePoint to design document repositories and manage content.
  • Knowledge of at least one professional document management system (other than SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of industrial standard methodology processes for Information and Knowledge management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret Security Clearance
