A Principal Communications Consultant is required by are required by prestigious organisation in their Bristol offices.


Due to consistent growth and workload my client are looking to recruit talented and motivated Principal Communications Consultant. The post holder will lead, or provide advice, on the design and development of communication systems across the communications spectrum. Working to help their clients deliver major UK communications and information systems, using your technical knowhow and skills to advise, formulate and de-risk procurement options.

Essential Skills for the Principal Communications Consultant:

  • Hold SC clearance (or be eligible for SC)
  • Hold a Degree in an Engineering or Communications discipline
  • Experience of leading a team of technical experts
  • Existing knowledge of current satellite technology and systems
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the engineering development life cycle, along with the associated system engineering and system integration activities appropriate to communication systems
  • Skilled in identifying emergent issues and risks around architectural approaches and technology maturity and supply.
  • Excellent communication skills as will presenting and liaising with clients, key steak holders and industry experts.
  • Experience of working on military programmes is desirable.
  • Being a chartered engineer would be an advantage



You will lead, plan and structure your team's work, engage with relevant customers and stakeholders and report to the Project Manager on progress to ensure the requirements of work packages are delivered in the allocated timescales.
