LOCATION: Milton Keynes

DURATION: 12 Months Contract with the option for further contract renewals

DAILY RATE: Highly Competitive (dependent on candidate's level of experience)

CONDITIONS: Security Cleared environment - SC Clearance / DV Clearance

Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Server Engineer to join a dedicated Server Team who is responsible for providing support to corporate ICT servers and associated infrastructures for best use and to integrate ICT infrastructure more effectively.

As part of a growing team, you will be required to provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support, be involved with incident and problem resolution, assisting with change programmes, upgrades and new system installations.

You will be working in a security cleared environment therefore due to the nature of the role, ideal candidates would be someone who holds DV Clearance however we are flexible and will consider candidates with SC Clearance who are eligible to undertake DV Clearance (we will sponsor you to undergo the DV Clearance process should this be the case).

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who have the following technical skills:

• Working knowledge of software environments including:
  o Active Directory (Domains & Forests)
  o Group Policy implementation and troubleshooting
  o Microsoft SQL, Exchange
  o Enterprise-class server environments (Virtualisation)

• Working knowledge of systems integration (integrating COTS products into existing environment);
• Proven experience of customer service in a technical environment;
• Familiarity with PC/Server hardware and peripherals, administration and troubleshooting operating systems and applications (including PC diagnostics);
• Knowledge of ICT software security and Anti-Virus measures;
• Experience in software evaluation/configuration/functionality/testing and deployment;
• Experience working with formal design and build documentation.
