Role Summary/Purpose:
    This role will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules for the On Wing Support repair station. The Material Planning and Execution Specialist will plan and schedule material and production needs.
Essential Responsibilities:
    In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Routine analysis of frequent part numbers, kit/bundle opportunities
  • Considering and evaluating economic purchasing to reduce PO creation cost and burden
  • Awareness and compliance of the Sourcing handbook
  • Locating and purchasing technician-requested material from online portals at multiple sources
  • Creating order demand in iROWCS, create (duplicate) internal parts order … use discretion on bulk ordering to decrease number POs issued
  • Updating Master RFM with purchasing details, tracking
  • High frequency of packaging removed material and shipping to Repair vendor
  • Pre-shipment "Beyond Economic Repair" decision making with Engineering
  • Utilization of Used Serviceable Materials
  • Tracking and ownership of repaired parts
  • Efficiently packing boxes for ship out with focus and collect weight and dimensions
  • Conducting regular status checks for delivery status and timely follow up communication to site production/tech leaders
  • Anticipating issues, engage contacts, and then escalate
  • Gate 2 accountability
  • Communicating accurate need dates with suppliers, and push for resolution with strong sense of urgency
  • Actively partnering with Production leader in production planning
  • Upon receipt/incoming inspection, you will inspect paperwork and contents for errors or damage, close iROWCS parts orders, Issue parts to floor and record part/qty on work order, and stock/shelve remaining quantities
  • Improving / measuring receipt-to-floor timeliness
  • Pulling local inventory and stock excess material
  • Leading yearly physical inventory
  • Minimising re-order point quantity established for high-turn items
  • Improving inventory accuracy through increase oversight and regular cycle counts
  • Establishing and maintaining relationship with Traffic department
  • Cost reduction and optimization around logistic/freight
  • Outbound and local material movement
  • All documentation of process steps. Develop suggestions and lead small process improvements where needed
  • Ensuring customs and ITC compliance
  • Coordinating engine shipment when not provided by customer, ship to test coordination, and support planners at the shops
  • Establishing site materials rhythm and communication plan
  • Engaging technicians to understand need dates, communicate delays and workaround
  • Work order review for material accuracy
  • Returning to stock transactions of unnecessary WIP stock
  • Optimizing transportation options and reduce engine conversion cost related to material
  • Significant stakeholder is OTD metric
  • Incorporating Chemicals/EHS into ROP or other inventory techniques
  • Coordinating handoff with engineering or contractor around shipment of tooling
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
