About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Forward Stores Operator for the management, acceptance, storage, release and disposal of equipment and stores into and out of central storage areas in accordance with the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework.

You will be responsible for Forward Store and logistic operations on a daily basis and these tasks include the ability to demonstrate tooling knowledge and the importance of tool control, calibration and stock management principles.

Further responsibilities will include;
  • Responsible for the appropriate identification, recording and monitoring of tooling/equipment held in the forward store. This will include the registration, following acceptance and inspection.
  • Ensure that equipment being used and released is tracked and recorded including a statement of condition, labelling and any other appropriate documentation for each item.
  • Ensure forward stores remain locked when in storage and that the keys are held securely.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely inspection, servicing and calibration of appropriate tools and equipment by people under their supervision.
  • Ensure that surplus or redundant equipment is removed from maintenance environment and quarantined or disposed

What do I need to do the role?

You must hold GCSE's or equivalent, including English and Maths and have previous industry experience.

What else do I need to know?

This role will operate on an early and night shift pattern that will comprise of Monday to Friday early shift for week one, followed by Monday to Thursday night shift in week two.

You will complete a pre-employment medical for this role.
