Facilities & Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Lead
RAF Valley, Holyhead
About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Facilities & Ground Support Equipment Lead to support the efficient and effective management of Maintenance of all GSE released.
The Facilities & GSE Lead must ensure all GSE released is fit for purpose, tracked and managed effectively in accordance with all relevant procedures and also ensure all maintenance facilities and locations where GSE is employed comply with the latest standards as documented.
Main responsibilities will include;
What do I need to do the role?
You will use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology.
You will be an experienced and competent leader with a broad and in-depth product knowledge, expert competence within own technical / subject area and an understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas, appropriate to the role.
You will also have demonstrable experience of working within an aviation environment with a sound knowledge of Military Aviation Safety and the Safety Management System outlined in Mil Pt 145 exposition.

- Taking the lead on identifying and resolving and facility issues that might arise across the maintenance area.
- Establishing a loan and tracking procedure
- Champion a culture of Near Miss and Error Reporting and take the lead for subsequent investigations
- Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
