About the role
Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit a Lead Data Visualisations Engineer to focus on the visual side of representing data within the business. You will be owning and driving the roadmap which will encapsulate the various ways Babcock already represent data, which include reports, dashboards and 3D models. The applicant will need to be a forward thinker who keeps up-to-date with products and innovations and will be backed to incorporate new technologies into Babcock group.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Lead a team that will improve and grow the current data visualisation to be a business winning function that will expand across the Babcock sectors
  • Owning and maintaining a set of standards that are to be applied and used across the sector
  • Be the focal point for Business Intelligence within the sector
  • Represent the sector at group level to promote the approach for data visualisation
  • Work closely with a technical roadmap to ensure Babcock delivers modern User Experiences

    What do I need to do the role?
  • You will have an analytical mind, coming from a digital analytics, insight or Business Intelligence (BI) background
  • Have a proven record of delivering into customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Experience of gathering requirements and designing custom solutions to meet customer needs
  • Experience using Power BI or a similar visualisation tool i.e. Qlikview
  • Understands the Software development lifecycle
  • Experience with 3D modelling and game engine software
  • CAD modelling and UNITY (advantageous but not essential)
  • Ideally from a software background

What else do I need to know about the role?
This is a full time position with some travel involved so flexibility will be required.
All applicants must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance.
