HR Administrator- 6 month FTC
Location: Bristol, Ashton


About the role
Here at Babcock we are recruiting for a HR Administrator for a 6 month fixed term contract. This position sits as part of the HR team based within our Defence Systems Technology unit based in Ashton.
DST is a business unit within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group. Working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, DST works with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. We're based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.

What do I need to do the role?

We are looking for someone with a desire to work in a busy and complex HR environment.
You will also be;
  • Articulate, resilient and able to work as part of a team.
  • Have a 'can do' attitude, enthusiastic and confident.
  • Be aware of the need for confidentiality.
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Have practical experience gained in an administration role within a busy environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Be capable of grasping the operations of software and capable of understanding the structure of basic reports.
  • Have previous experience in an HR Administrator role.

What else do I need to know about the role?

This role has an employee lifecycle focus and typical tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Deliver service excellence, customer care and display strong customer service ethos, even through times of change.
  • Be the first point of contact for the HR team either face-to-face, via telephone or email, providing advice/guidance on basic employee matters, and referring or escalating to HR Advisors or Business Partners as appropriate
  • Prepare letters associated with the entire employee lifecycle
  • Update and maintain the HR Success Factors system ensuring accuracy and integrity of the information held
  • Process contract changes/Off-boarding/Measurement of starter satisfaction
  • Absence management - identifying cases and tracking accordingly
